Mariska Hargitay knows how to get her fans excited. The Law & Order: Special Victims Unit teased fans of the show with her latest update as she shared special photos from the set with none other than Christopher Meloni.
The actress, who plays Captain Olivia Benson on the hit police procedural, took to Instagram on March 19 to showcase the cozy images of the two actors, writing, “Just leaving this here 👯♂️.”
In the new photos, Hargitay and Meloni were all smiles as they walked arm in arm in New York City while wearing casual clothing. The third photo was particularly sweet, with Hargitay wrapping her arms around Meloni to pose for a selfie together.

The surprising new photos of fan-favorite actors—whose characters many fans hope to get together on screen—were taken on set, but it’s unclear if they were filming for a scene or not.
Fans were shocked by the snaps, with enthusiastic responses like, “WE ARE SOOOOOO BACK,” and “HAPPY WEDNESDAY TO US ✨.”
“I wasn’t ready Mariska! My heart is fine I guess… ❤️,” wrote a third, while another exclaimed, “I’ve stared at this for about an hour !!!!” and someone else asked, “LEAVE SOME MOREEE PLSSS.”
A different fan commented, “It’s happening…everyone stay calm…..IT’S HAPPENING!”
Season 26 of Law & Order: SVU is currently airing on NBC, with the 16th episode, called “Let Me Bring Pardon,” coming out on Thursday, March 20.
NBC also recently released the trailer for Season 5 of Meloni’s Law & Order spinoff, Law & Order: Organized Crime, which premieres on Peacock on April 17, although the Season 5 premiere will reportedly air on both Peacock and NBC.
The series originally aired on NBC alongside the other Law & Order shows but was moved to the streaming platform for the new season.
