The world wasn’t ready. In an era where hip-hop is dominated by viral trends and algorithmic hits, Eminem has shattered expectations with “Grandson”, a six-minute opus that transcends music to become something far greater—a raw, unfiltered confession from a man reconciling his past, his pain, and his place in history. More than just a song, it’s a generational letter in rhyme, a reckoning with mortality, and perhaps the most vulnerable work of his storied career.

Renowned rapper Eminem, born Marshall Bruce Mathers III, has embraced a new role: grandfather. His daughter, Hailie Jade Scott, and her husband, Evan McClintock, welcomed their first child, a son named Elliot Marshall McClintock, on March 14, 2025. The middle name “Marshall” is a heartfelt tribute to Eminem.

Hailie shared the joyous news on Instagram, posting a photo of Elliot with the caption: “happy due date//3 weeks earthside little e.” Fans quickly noted the homage in Elliot’s name, with one commenting, “His middle name im crying ❤️ he’s so precious.”

The pregnancy was first revealed in Eminem’s October 2024 music video for “Temporary,” which featured personal moments, including Hailie presenting her father with a “Grandpa” jersey and ultrasound photos. The video also showcased footage from Hailie’s wedding to McClintock in May 2024.

Eminem, 52, has often expressed his deep bond with Hailie through his music, with songs like “Hailie’s Song” and “Mockingbird” highlighting their relationship. Now, as he steps into this new chapter, fans are affectionately dubbing him “Grampanem.”
