HERE’S THE STORY: the Mexican actor who brought Quico to life in El Chavo del 8 went to watch Inter Miami’s match at NU Stadium a few weeks ago, the Herons lost 4-3 to Orlando City.
Days later the club opened its doors for him to meet Leo in person. As they were heading to the elevator, Villagrán took the ring off his pinky and offered it to him. Messi said no. Another person in the group insisted. Villagrán insisted again. And Messi put it on. 
The world champion’s reaction? He turned around, looked him in the eyes, and asked: “But you’re not going to cry, right?”, imitating Quico’s crying right in the actor’s face.
Everyone around burst out laughing. Villagrán, his voice breaking, could only manage to say that he didn’t want to “die without shaking his hand”. In the end, the funnier of the two turned out to be the man from Rosario.
