The TV star went straight for the jugular and repeatedly mentioned Hailie Jade on the track

Roll up, roll up, as a transatlantic rap war has just begun – and UK star Big Zuu has just sent for the self-proclaimed ‘Rap God’.

The TV star, real name Zuhair Hassan, has just stunned fans by releasing a diss track aimed at Eminem, where he brands the 52-year-old a ‘little hillbilly’ and makes repeated references to his beloved daughter, Hailie Jade.

Anyone with even a vague knowledge of Marshall Mathers’ music will know that mentioning his daughter on a song is a big no-no – just ask the likes of Ja Rule or Machine Gun Kelly.

Still, Big Zuu doesn’t seem to be too phased by the lyrical retorts which Eminem could easily dish out in return, as he went ahead and made some brutal jabs about new mum Hailie on his diss track, titled ‘Bun Em’.

But first, a bit of context – this all stems from grime legend Skepta recently deciding to spice things up in the rap scene by suggesting a clash between artists on both sides of the pond to ‘finally get this UK/US rap debate sorted’.

He offered up some potential pairings in a series of posts on X earlier this month, proposing that he could take on A$AP Rocky, while Chip could go bar for bar with Kendrick Lamar and Dave could battle Lil Wayne.

Skepta then suggested Ghetts has got the gumption to go up against Eminem, while telling a social media user who disagreed: “MGK left Eminem a chink in his armour, why you talking like Slim Shady is untouchable.”

Big Zuu seemingly saw this and decided to volunteer himself instead, seeing him release ‘Bun Em’ – which uses the instrumental of Slim Shady’s 2004 hit ‘Just Lose It’ – late on Wednesday (16 July) night.

He raps about ‘taking out a Hall of Famer’, despite some people having little faith in his spitting ability because he’s ‘an entertainer’, before going on to wage war on American rappers.

“Come here, USA, sit on my lap,” Big Zuu begins the second verse. “And let me break it down why we’re actually your dads, they love to cap and act like the UK can’t chat, but the fact is, you use English when you rap.”

The 29-year-old, from London, then boldly tells Eminem that his ‘whole career [is] about how you’re a s**t dad’ and that he is a ‘white boy who wishes that he’d been black’.

He continues: “I’m overweight, me versus Slim is a mismatch. I’m not afraid of clashing a donkey, the kickback. Is your little Stan’s gettin’ upset on the TikTok?

“But I’ll fly Hailie [out] to sit on my big…”

Big Zuu then goes on to reference Eminem’s ex-partner Kim Mathers, claiming the 8 Mile star ‘gave her hell’, before he then makes a number of digs about Eminem’s lyrical skills.

“All your latest tracks nobody is feeling them, when you rap all I’m hearing is cinnamon, frinningen,” the Big Zuu’s Big Eats star raps.

Hilariously, he then finishes off the diss track by adding: “You little p****s, suck your mum if you hear this… and don’t sue me ’cause obviously this beat, I couldn’t clear this.”

Oh Skepta, what have you started…

There’s been a varied reaction to ‘Bun Em’ online, while a lot of people have suggested Big Zuu might have bitten off more than he can chew by coming for Eminem right out of the gate.

One person said: “Saying Hailie’s name to get Em to respond may be the most lame and overused tactic in rap history. This s**t is terrible.”

Another joked: “I mean of all the rappers to represent our scene, I was really hoping it wouldn’t be Big f*****g Zuu.”

A third commented: “The dude who hosts Junior MasterChef going at Em was not on my bingo card this year. [But] you know what, it’s better than I thought it would be.”

A fourth added: “Nah thats a solid 7 diss funny ending, made points about Kim and the MJ thing. Fair diss even the pointing out Americans use English thing works. Solid diss.”

While a fifth chimed in saying: “Wiley/Chip are the only ones that should be involved.”
