What was supposed to be a somber and respectful farewell turned into an unexpected controversy when Eminem, one of the biggest names in rap history, was publicly asked to leave the funeral of Snoop Dogg’s brother. According to eyewitnesses, the rapper was seen posing for photos and snapping selfies inside the church, sparking outrage among grieving family members and close friends of the late sibling.

“He walked in with sunglasses on, head high, like he was arriving at an award show,” one attendee said. “At first people were just surprised, but then he started taking photos of himself near the memorial display. That’s when things went south.”
Family members and security reportedly approached Eminem and politely asked him to put his phone away. But when he continued taking pictures — allegedly even flashing a peace sign in one of them — Snoop Dogg himself was informed. While the rapper didn’t directly confront Eminem, he nodded silently to his team, who then escorted Marshall Mathers out of the venue.
“It was disrespectful. There’s no excuse for that kind of behavior at a funeral,” said another guest. “This wasn’t a concert or a red carpet event. People were crying — Snoop had just spoken a few words about his brother. And there he was, snapping selfies like it was some kind of social media moment.”
The incident has since blown up online. Social media users have been flooding Twitter/X and Instagram with reactions ranging from disappointment to outright anger.
“Eminem really took selfies at a funeral? Has he lost all sense of reality?” one post read.
Another user tweeted: “This man acted like it was Coachella, not a funeral. Disgusting.”
A new hashtag — #NoRespectEminem — began trending just hours after the story broke, with fans and critics alike calling for an apology.
As of now, neither Eminem nor his representatives have issued any public statement. Some fans are hoping the situation is a misunderstanding, while others argue that there’s no excuse for turning a moment of grief into a photo op.
Snoop Dogg, still grieving, has remained silent — but insiders say the incident may have fractured their long-standing friendship beyond repair.
