Rick Ross has openly expressed that he is willing to end his year-long feud with Drake, his former friend and collaborator. In a recent interview with Bootleg Kev, Ross reflected on their ongoing beef and indicated that it was never deeply serious. He stated, “Real n-ggas stay real. Was it something really deep? Nah. Fuck that, though. But if it’s real it’s real and that’s what it is.” This suggests that while the conflict had some basis, it was not profound enough to warrant lasting animosity.

Ross humorously outlined what it might take to reconcile with Drake, saying, “You never know, if a n-gga send me a bottle of Luc Belaire, especially the white one. Send me a white Belaire and I’ll take a picture with you.” Luc Belaire Rare Rosé is a champagne brand Ross is invested in and promotes, and this playful condition reflects his openness to making peace under the right gesture.
The feud between the two artists ignited in April 2024 when Drake released the diss track “Push Ups,” in which he mocked Ross’s age, questioned his ability to make hits, and responded to being unfollowed on Instagram. Rick Ross retaliated with his own diss track titled “Champagne Moments,” where he accused Drake of undergoing plastic surgery, specifically a nose job, and referred to him disparagingly as the “white boy.” Ross also criticized Drake for sending a cease-and-desist letter to French Montana and for allegedly involving the police against Ross’s associates. The diss track sparked the hashtag #BBLDRIZZY, with Ross continuing to taunt Drake on social media throughout the ongoing Kendrick Lamar vs. Drake rivalry.

Despite the tension, Ross acknowledged that the beef was not deeply personal or irreparable. In a 2024 conversation on Yung Miami’s Caresha Please podcast, Ross said, “He mentioned my name, and that’s a no-no. Don’t do that, especially when it ain’t about no real shit. But when you do that, okay then: this is how we gonna play.” He added that he could easily dismiss the feud by joking around, saying, “I can wake up every day and say ‘BBL Drizzy’ or some old shit, while I’m smoking a joint, listening to the waterfalls and all that shit, looking at the birds fly off. That shit easy for me.” He also noted he wasn’t losing sleep over the conflict, indicating a laid-back attitude toward the dispute.
The beef escalated in July 2024 after an incident at a Vancouver festival where Ross and his crew were attacked by concertgoers, though Drake was not involved. Drake nonetheless continued to troll Ross online, but the public exchanges have since cooled down.
Over the years, Rick Ross and Drake have had a collaborative relationship, working together on several hit songs including “Lemon Pepper Freestyle,” “Money in the Grave,” and DJ Khaled’s “I’m On One,” all of which charted in the Billboard Hot 100 top 10. This history of collaboration adds context to Ross’s willingness to potentially reconcile with Drake.
In summary, Rick Ross is open to ending his feud with Drake, viewing it as something not deeply personal or serious. He has playfully suggested that a simple gesture, such as receiving a bottle of his favored Luc Belaire champagne, could pave the way for peace. Their beef, which began with diss tracks and social media jabs in 2024, has simmered down, and Ross’s comments indicate a readiness to move past the conflict if the opportunity arises.
