Season 5’s move exclusively to Peacock also came with a bump in the rating to MA. For the most part, this means an increase in the graphic nature of violence (some of us are still a little scarred from the fingers), as well as the addition of explicit language. In a recent interview with TV Insider, Meloni talked about what he feels like the series was able to accomplish for the fifth season, as well as looking ahead to a potential Season 6. Meloni says, “We took advantage of the Peacock platform, which allows for a little more elbow room for storytelling. I hope we continue that trend.”
Has ‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’ Been Renewed for Season 6?

Last year, the announcement of the Season 5 renewal and the show’s move to Peacock came before the conclusion of Season 4. Now that Season 5 has wrapped up with a strong streaming presence but no renewal announcement, fans are wondering when that may come. Like any loyal fan base, there’s a social media presence pushing for a renewal with the X (formerly Twitter) account “Renew Law & Order: Organized Crime” re-sharing and posting just how much the fans want to see Detective Elliot Stabler and his family on their screens once again. Law & Order: Organized Crime has nailed their formula, and has taken steps that have only elevated it since moving to Peacock.
Meloni told TV Insider he enjoys the dynamics that have been set up and wants to see that continue in a potential Season 6. “I hope it’s something that pushes the boundaries, provocative storytelling in this crime-family drama. I hope all the actors that surround me have a larger slice of the pie because I think ensemble pieces appeal to me. I think there is more room to tell stories in the dynamic and relationships. I feel we did it this year.”
