How much will Barcelona need to pay to sign Luis Díaz from Liverpool?
An insight into the price-tag attached to Barcelona transfer target by Premier League champions Liverpool has on Tuesday been provided.
The name of attacker Díaz has of course taken its place centre stage in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital once more over recent days.
This comes amid mounting claims that the Colombian has been identified as Barcelona’s no.1 transfer target wth a view to next season.
Amid an ongoing search for reinforcements out wide, Díaz is considered the ideal profile for Hansi Flick’s all-action style of play.
Safe to say, though, that if the Blaugrana are serious about striking a deal with Liverpool, they will need to pay up…
As per a report from Diario Sport, the board at Anfield are ready to demand a premium sum to part with Luis Díaz over the months ahead:
‘The deadlines are set and are known by all the parties involved, as well as the sale price, which will be around 85 million euros.’
Blackburn Rovers’ women’s team have been relegated from Women’s Super League 2 (English football’s second tier) after the club decided against meeting the league’s requirements on facilities, player welfare and staffing.
The Lancashire club was given until Monday to state its intention to the Women’s Super League Football (WSL Football) — the organisation in charge of running the top two divisions of English women’s football) — to finance their women’s team’s licensing criteria and retain their tier-two status.
Rovers finished second from bottom in the Championship, rebranded as WSL2 for the 2025-26 season, ahead of relegated Sheffield United.
A meeting with members of the club’s hierarchy took place on Monday May 12 and players and staff were left in limbo since being informed of the situation last Tuesday, May 13. Many within the team were said to be “devastated” by the unfolding situation.
But on Tuesday, they were informed by the club that no financing would be provided.
Sources with knowledge of the matter, who like all mentioned in the piece wished to remain anonymous to protect relationships, were heavily critical of the club’s communication and handling of the situation.
