Eminem used April Fool’s Day to poke fun at cancel culture, dropping an “uncancellable” t-shirt—only to pull it in the ultimate meta-joke.
Eminem just reminded everyone why he is the king of trolling. On April Fool’s Day, he dropped a limited-edition t-shirt labelled “Uncancellable,” seemingly poking fun at cancel culture and the ongoing debates around his music.
But in true Slim Shady fashion, the joke did not end there — soon after, the merch was taken down from his online shop with a message declaring, “THIS MERCH IDEA HAS BEEN CANCELED”.

The shirt itself featured a fiery creature Jenzimibra and played off a lyric from “Trouble,” a track from “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce)”, where Slim Sgady raps,
You gonna cancel me, yeah? Gen-Z me, bruh?
The design and wording made it clear that Eminem was taking a shot at the idea of being “cancelled” — something he has faced multiple times over his decades-long career.
While some fans laughed along, calling it a clever troll, others were quick to criticise the move. Some accused him of trying to “cash in” on controversy, while others felt the joke was unnecessary. But the whole thing was short-lived — just as expected for an April Fool’s gag.
At the end of the day, Eminem did what he does best: turned a serious cultural debate into a moment of satire. Whether fans saw it as funny or just another way to sell merch, you cannot deny that Slim Shady always finds a way to stay in the conversation.
So, what do you think about this trick?
