The rapper has collaborated with both Em and Weezy in the past so the choice wasn’t an easy one.

Big Sean was recently tasked with picking between two of his favorite artists, Eminem and Lil Wayne, and he revealed how personal their music is for him.

During his appearance on Sound Check with Jeremy Hecht, Sean Don was asked to choose between Lil Wayne’s “A Milli” and Eminem’s “Lose Yourself.” The Detroit native ran through both songs and jammed out before making the tough decision.

“It’s crazy. Eminem and Lil Wayne—the impact they’ve both had on me, how they both gone out their way for me,” said Sean. “8 Mile just inspired me crazy but so did ‘A Milli,’ dog. When [Lil Wayne] dropped ‘A Milli,’ it was unbelievable.”

Sean then recalled how Wayne dropped an amazing verse on their collaborative effort “Deep” off his Dark Sky Paradise album which debuted in 2015. He also explained how his collaborations with Em, “Detroit Vs. Everybody,” “No Favors” and more were absolute bangers. Sean then went on to explain that he takes music personally.

“I take it personal, I take the music personal,” said Sean before making his choice. “This is a tough one. I really want to choose both. If I just had to choose right now, I’m gonna go with Em.”

Big Sean recently revealed that he wants to get in the studio with Justin Bieber. Earlier this week, Bieber put out an Instagram post asking for artists to send him a DM if they were interested in collaborating with him. Sean answered the call along with several other artists, including Drake, Jaden Smith, and Kehlani.
