Jason Kelce revealed that he knew “early on” that Travis Kelce’s relationship with the pop superstar was the real deal. Reflecting on their love story during TNT’s “Steam Room” on Friday evening, he recalled his initial reaction.
“I remember the first time he said he was hanging out with her, and I remember just being like, ‘Are you kidding me? You’re hanging out with Taylor Swift? Like, that’s insane. That’s awesome for you,’” Jason, 37, shared.

Jason explained that what stood out to him was the way Travis spoke about Swift from the start. “You meet a lot of people. I think this felt different,” he said. “What also felt different was just the way he talks about her and talked about her from the moment he was with her. You could tell how much he really, really liked her right from the get-go.”
The former Philadelphia Eagles player admitted that the “level” of their relationship was “very eye-opening” as he observed the couple’s bond develop.
Swift and Travis, both 35, have been dating for nearly two years, and according to Jason, the Grammy winner has played a key role in the Kansas City Chiefs star’s personal growth. On Tuesday, Jason noted how the “Fortnight” singer has influenced his younger brother’s evolution in recent years.
“One of the things I love so much about Travis is that he never grew up, like, he was like Peter Pan, and like, the Lost Boys,” Jason said during an appearance on the “Fitz & Whit” podcast.

When asked if Travis is “growing up now,” Jason immediately responded, “For sure.”

“Trav, he is growing up. He’s still, though, got that youthful enthusiasm,” he explained. “I think he’ll kinda always have that, it’s just part of his personality, and I think it’s one of the reasons every teammate has loved playing with him. Anybody that’s ever met Trav-you can’t help but just love the guy.”
The couple’s romance remains strong, as they were seen together at the 2025 Super Bowl earlier this month. However, they are reportedly taking some time off to relax following the Chiefs‘ loss to the Eagles.
