The full preseason schedule for the Denver Nuggets has been released, and the 2025-26 squad will make their debut on Saturday, October 4th at 7 PM Mountain Time. They’ll be the home team, taking on their biggest rivals, the Minnesota Timberwolves, but the game will be played in San Diego, California.
In total, the Nuggets will play five preseason games, with just one taking place in Denver. The full schedule for the team’s 2025 preseason is as follows:
October 4: Nuggets vs. Timberwolves (in San Diego), 7 PM MT
October 6: Nuggets @ Raptors (in Vancouver, as part of the NBA Canada Series), 8 PM MT
October 12: Nuggets @ Clippers, 8 PM MT
October 14: Nuggets vs. Bulls, 7 PM MT
October 17: Nuggets @ Thunder, 6 PM MT
That’s five solid tune-up games for Denver after a full training camp. Of course, Nikola Jokic and Jonas Valanciunas should already be in midseason form as they’ll be spending the next month competing in EuroBasket for Serbia and Lithuania, respectively.
Nuggets only play one preseason game in Denver
If fans want to see their Nuggets before the regular season begins, the only opportunity in Denver will be the October 14th game when they host the Bulls in Ball Arena. Other than that, they’ll play three road games, with the opener in San Diego counting as their second home game.
The NBA regular season will tip off on Tuesday, October 21st, but the Nuggets won’t be appearing as the league has opted to go with a doubleheader featuring Rockets @ Thunder and Warriors @ Lakers.
Why the NBA chose to snub the team with the third-best odds to win the title and the favorite to win the MVP Award is beyond me, but that’s where we’re at. The Nuggets were at least recognized with a Christmas Day game as they’ll host the Timberwolves in the final game of a pentuple-header.
Full NBA schedule likely to release this week
For now, that’s all that has been leaked, but the entire NBA schedule should be released any day now. We know the Nuggets will play 82 times, with 41 at home and 41 on the road. We know which teams they’ll play and how many times.
We even know which group they’re in for the Emirates NBA Cup. But we don’t know the times, dates, and order of the schedule. Luckily, that’s all to come, and we should have plenty of answers soon enough.
