A few months ago, LeBron James’ wife, Savannah James appeared on her popular podcast, Everybody’s Crazy, where she opened up about how she would not let the NBA legend do one thing before they got married.

Savannah James said, “When I tell you I hate, loath, “wifey” with my whole entire soul…Because n**** don’t call me your wifey and I’m not. I’m not.”

The mom of three added, “I had to politely tell my husband back in the day. He used to introduce me, ‘This my wife, this my wife.’”

Savannah James continued, “I had to put him to the side like, ‘Excuse me, sir, don’t introduce me as that, please. I’m not your wife and I deserve that title when the time is right. I don’t want you to start to think that it’s okay for you to say this.’”

Savannah James had previously opened up about how she broke down when she learnt she was pregnant as she recalled how scared she was to tell her parents about it.

However, everything worked out for the power couple at the end as soon after Savannah James found herself pregnant, LeBron James was drafted into the NBA by the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Savannah James has been extremely supportive of LeBron James’ career and after dating for close to a decade and becoming parents, the two tied the knot at an intimate ceremony in 2012.
