The resurfaced footage dates back to the on-off relationship between Rihanna and Drake, which reportedly lasted from 2009 to 2016. According to a Page Six report, the pair were first spotted making out at Lucky Strike in Manhattan in May 2009. Their connection was further showcased in the intimate video for Drake’s song “Take Care” in 2012, and in 2013, they were seen having dinner together before the MTV Video Music Awards. Despite public denials, Drake admitted he was in love with Rihanna while presenting her with the Video Vanguard Award at the 2016 MTV VMAs, though she only allowed a kiss on the cheek.
