LOVE TRIANGLE DRAMA RETURNS! Resurfaced Rihanna and Drake Footage Sends Social Media Into Chaos

A resurfaced dating footage of Rihanna and Drake has reportedly caused tension for ASAP Rocky, who is said to be furious over the timing of its release. The old footage has reemerged amid an already heated feud between Rocky and Drake, which has escalated with the release of Drake’s album *Iceman* in May 2026. Several tracks on the project contain lyrics widely interpreted as direct attacks on ASAP Rocky, Rihanna, and DJ Khaled.

On the track “On Burning Bridges,” Drake appears to address a fractured friendship, rapping about a brother figure and questioning why his former friend would release an album containing disses. Another song, “Firm Friends,” includes a line demanding clarity on the timeline of Rihanna and Drake’s past relationship, prompting fans to revisit old footage and photographs. A third cut, “Ran to Atlanta,” references sharing women, further intensifying speculation about the love triangle.

The resurfaced footage dates back to the on-off relationship between Rihanna and Drake, which reportedly lasted from 2009 to 2016. According to a Page Six report, the pair were first spotted making out at Lucky Strike in Manhattan in May 2009. Their connection was further showcased in the intimate video for Drake’s song “Take Care” in 2012, and in 2013, they were seen having dinner together before the MTV Video Music Awards. Despite public denials, Drake admitted he was in love with Rihanna while presenting her with the Video Vanguard Award at the 2016 MTV VMAs, though she only allowed a kiss on the cheek.

A$AP Rocky Opens Up About Family Life With Rihanna

Rihanna later clarified in a 2018 Vogue interview that she and Drake were no longer friends, stating, “We don’t have a friendship now, but we’re not enemies, either.” Shortly after, ASAP Rocky and Rihanna began their relationship, which was confirmed by Rocky in a May 2021 GQ interview, where he called her “the love of my life.” The rapper has since used his music to assert his dominance, including a bar on the track “Show of Hands” where he claims to have been with Rihanna before Drake.

In response to Drake’s latest disses on *Iceman*, Rihanna posted a TikTok video captioned, “Me pulling up to my man tour in flats, cuz now I got to bring the kids,” showing support for Rocky’s upcoming tour. The post was widely seen as a pointed rebuttal to Drake’s lyrics. Rocky has described the feud as stemming from issues over women, labeling Drake as “soft” for repeatedly targeting Rihanna in his music. The ongoing narrative highlights a one-sided fixation from Drake, while Rocky and Rihanna appear unbothered, focusing on their family life with their three children.
