It’s nothing new to see the children of sports superstars inherit a bit of their parents’ talent. In fact, it’s fairly common. Still, Stephen Curry’s seven-year-old son, Canon, managed to grab the spotlight during the Warriors game-not only because of his skills, but also due to his charisma and the striking resemblance he shares with his father.
Canon, seated courtside alongside Ayesha Curry, became one of the most talked-about moments of the night when cameras caught him confidently working with two basketballs at once. The young Curry appeared comfortableand very aware of the moment, flashing smooth control that instantly reminded fans of his dad’s signature feel for the ball.
Learning the game at home
Canon’s confidence didn’t look accidental. At just seven years old, he’s learning by watching one of the greatest shooters in NBA history up close, day after day. His skills were put to the test on camera, and he showed that carrying the Curry name goes beyond genetics-it shows in how he handles the ball and moves naturally.

Canon, managed to grab the spotlight during the Warriors game for the striking resemblance he shares with his father.
At that age, it’s only natural for kids to want to be just like their parents. If there were a competition for that, Canon would easily be at the top. His comfort in front of the cameras and his eagerness to be seen only added to the moment, giving fans a glimpse of a young kid enjoying the game in his own way.
A tough night despite a milestone
Despite having his family cheering from the front row, it wasn’t enough for Golden State on the scoreboard. The Warriors fell to the Brooklyn Nets, even as Stephen Curry delivered another strong individual performance. He finished with 27 points on the night, passing Kevin Garnett to move into 21st place on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.
Now in his 17th NBA season, Curry continues to perform at an elite level, averaging 28.9 points, 4.3 assists, and 4.1 rebounds per game. While the result didn’t go the Warriors’ way, the night still carried meaning-both for Curry’s place in NBA history and for the glimpse fans got of the next generation courtside.
The evening blended basketball, family, and legacy-Stephen Curry reaching another milestone, and Canon showing that the love for the game is already taking shape at home.
