Diddy’s Kids Seen Celebrating, Doing Push-Ups on the Sidewalk After Verdict
Nationwide — Sean “Diddy” Combs’ family erupted into celebration after he was acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering charges that could have imprisoned him for life. His children were later seen on camera celebrating even more, and his sons were doing push-ups on the sidewalk. His twin daughters were also there and very happy. They even stopped to say a few words to reporters from ABC News. His son King told reporters, “We love everybody watching. We’re so happy. Pops is coming home. God bless the whole world.”
Prior to that, inside the courtroom, as the jury read “not guilty” on the most serious allegations, his relatives in the courtroom embraced, applauded, and wiped away tears. Someone even shouted, “Yeah!” after the first acquittal, defying the judge’s order to avoid outbursts. Combs himself dropped to his knees in prayer, looked toward his family, and told them, “I’ll be home soon. I love you.” His lawyers, some visibly emotional, embraced the moment alongside him. Though he still faces time behind bars for a lesser conviction related to prostitution, the verdict was seen as a major legal and emotional victory for his supporters.
The verdict followed a tumultuous trial that shattered the public image of the 55-year-old mogul once known as “Puff Daddy.” The jury ultimately found Combs guilty of flying people across the country—including girlfriends and sex workers—for paid sex, a violation of the federal Mann Act. That conviction alone carries a potential sentence of up to 10 years, though his defense team argues he should face no more than 27 months. Prosecutors, however, are pushing for up to 63 months, citing his history of violence and drug abuse.
Still, the acquittals on sex trafficking and racketeering charges marked a turning point. The prosecution had alleged that Combs manipulated women with wealth, power, and violence, forcing them into drug-fueled sex marathons. The defense countered that the acts were consensual and the charges a gross invasion of privacy, describing the government’s case as an attack on Combs’ personal life.
The trial featured gripping testimony from 34 witnesses, including Cassie Ventura, his former girlfriend, who accused Combs of years of abuse and control. She described so-called “freak-off” nights involving other men, baby oil, and degradation. Her lawsuit against Combs, filed in late 2023 and quickly settled for $20 million, opened the floodgates for more accusations and ultimately led to this federal case.
Jurors deliberated for 13 hours over three days, and the courtroom became emotional when the partial verdicts were finally revealed. Combs didn’t testify, but his lawyers portrayed the charges as a witch hunt meant to punish an eccentric celebrity. Rapper Kid Cudi also took the stand, claiming Combs may have firebombed his car over a relationship with Cassie—an accusation Combs denied.
No sentencing date has been set. A judge will soon determine whether Combs should remain behind bars or be granted bail as he awaits his punishment for the Mann Act conviction. His future as a music mogul, fashion icon, and media personality remains uncertain—but for now, his family is celebrating what they see as a partial redemption.
