As the world mourns the death of Ozzy Osbourne, a sweet story has resurfaced about one of his rare celebrity praises. And it was for none other than Taylor Swift.

Back in October 2014, during an episode of The Talk, Ozzy’s wife Sharon Osbourne shared a heartfelt moment involving the legendary rocker and the pop megastar.

“Ozzy came away and he said, ‘Finally, out of all these young, new artists I finally found one that is a true superstar,’” Sharon recalled during the show, as Taylor sat beside her.

According to Sharon, Ozzy was captivated by Taylor’s “aura of elegance”, calling her “Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn all rolled into one.”

Taylor Was ‘Blown Away’

The touching moment happened after the two stars bumped into each other while shopping. Ozzy, known for his intense persona on stage, was reportedly quiet during the encounter, but clearly impressed.

“That was the sweetest thing in the world,” Taylor said, blushing at the memory. “I remember he didn’t talk much.”

Sharon chimed in with a laugh: “He was too busy staring at you.”


Swift, always gracious, added that she was moved when Kelly Osbourne later told her what Ozzy had said. “I was just so flattered. It was the sweetest thing in the world.”

Taylor also reflected on what struck her most about the encounter. It was the Osbournes’ strong family bond.

“It was so nice to see you guys out as a family, all shopping together,” she shared. “Those are the things that, typically, as kids grow up and everybody becomes adults, you don’t see family days as much.”

Just weeks before his passing, Ozzy took the stage one last time in his hometown of Birmingham, England.

The farewell concert at Villa Park Stadium reunited him with his original Black Sabbath bandmates Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward, marking their first performance together since 2005.

More than 42,000 fans attended the Back to the Beginning show, a symbolic close to a 56-year journey that began in the same city.

Ozzy Osbourne died on July 22 at age 76, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife Sharon and his five children: Jessica, Louis, Aimee, Kelly, and Jack.
