Patrick Mahomes‘ new NFL contract is un-ball-ievable.
The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback signed a two-year contract extension with the NFL team June 10 valued at over $500 million, per his agency. And the reworked contract—an extension to Patrick’s 10-year deal signed in 2020—marks the largest in the league’s history and makes Patrick the highest-paid player in the NFL.
“The magic continues,” Equity Sports announced in an X post. “Congratulations @PatrickMahomes on signing the largest contract in NFL history… yet again. $504.75M. Historic. Game-changing. Record breaker.”
And Patrick—who has played on the Chiefs throughout his entire NFL career—expressed how thrilled he is to continue playing for the Chiefs for many years to come. (After all, the 30-year-old’s new deal will run through the 2033 season, according to multiple outlets.)
“CHIEFS KINGDOM!!!! We are here to stay!” he wrote in a June 10 Instagram post, which featured a sweet photo of himself, wife Brittany Mahomes and their kids Sterling, 5, Bronze, 3, and Golden, 17 months, posing at his contract extension signing. “Love this place and the people that are apart of it.”

And his high school sweetheart—whom he wed in 2022—celebrated her husband’s monumental deal, sharing a carousel of family photos from the signing, in which the whole Mahomes crew was decked out in Chiefs red. She captioned the Instagram post, “Red is our color & Kansas City is our home.”
As for who also offered their congratulations? Patrick’s longtime Kansas City Chiefs teammate Travis Kelce, who reacted to the news in the comments section of Patrick’s Instagram post, writing, “LFG!!!!!,” alongside a series of flame emojis.

He also described Patrick as “a great representative of the organization and a heck of a player.”
With his new contract, Patrick will be raking in an average of $64 million per year, beginning in the 2027 NFL season.
