Justin Baldoni named Taylor Swift in his lawsuit against Blake Lively, and popstar is said to have made up with Blake months later after being ‘annoyed’ to feature in the scandal

The duo used to be thick as thieves, but haven’t been seen together in months amid Blake’s ongoing Hollywood feud.

Taylor and Blake’s rumoured separation is believed to be linked to Blake’s legal dispute with her It Ends with Us co-star Justin Baldoni – which Taylor wants no part of.

In December, Blake, 37, filed a lawsuit against Justin, 41, claiming sexual harassment. Justin then countersued Blake and her husband Ryan Reynolds, 48, for £321 million, accusing them of trying to destroy his reputation and career.

Taylor was named in Justin’s legal filing, and was said to be “annoyed” that she was linked to the major drama by “supporting” Blake.

Taylor was said to be uncomfortable featuring in the lawsuit, after an instance of her “hanging out” at Blake’s house was used as an example of intimidation by Justin’s camp.

In his filing, Justin claims that Blake brought Taylor to a rooftop meeting about script changes, and that the actress was using her “mega-celebrity friend” to intimidate him. However, sources have since claimed that Taylor had no intentions of being there for the meeting and was simply there to meet a friend.

“This was the first time that Taylor ever met Justin. She had no idea who he was and Taylor was simply being polite. She was polite to him as she is to everyone she meets,” a source previously told the Mail.

This isn’t Taylor’s only mention in the long legal documents, after Justin published a string of alleged messages from Blake in which (using a Game of Thrones reference) described Taylor as one of her “dragons.”

While Taylor reportedly took some steps back from Blake in the light of the dispute, an insider suggested that Blake may have been just as uncomfortable to see her friend involved in her drama.

A source said: “Baldoni’s lawyer will take no prisoners, and the thought of Taylor being subjected to that, is utterly horrifying to Blake.”

While a deposition could see Taylor share her side of the story, some fans have been disappointed by her silence on the feud up until this point.

A source previously shared that Taylor’s silence could even be used by Justin’s camp, explaining: “Some people feel [Taylor] should be offering comfort and using her platform to rally Swifties in support of what is right.

“Instead, Taylor appears to have gone silent and is staying out of the public eye. This will likely play a role in Justin’s defence. If Taylor does not believe Blake, she will be the smoking gun in this case.”
