
Stephen Curry, widely regarded as one of the greatest players in NBA history, has officially entered the sneaker free-agent market following a 13-year partnership with Under Armour.

“Basketball shoes aren’t just performance products; they’re status symbols, fashion statements, cultural artifacts,” Engvall wrote in his newsletter. “Nike understands this. Adidas understands this. Under Armour thought they were making athletic equipment when they should have been making art.”

Fellow Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green emphasized that the situation could be the most significant of Curry’s career from a business standpoint.
“I think to be in the position he’s in right now, this may be the biggest opportunity of his life,” Green said on his podcast.
“We all know how great Steph Curry is. We all know the love that Steph Curry has, and the Curry Brand already has a presence.
