Jeezy has been threatened with jail time by a judge for failing to comply with the terms of his divorce agreement with Jeannie Mai. During a court hearing on April 28, the judge found that Jeezy had “willfully failed” to transfer the title of a 2021 Range Rover to Mai, which was a requirement in their divorce settlement. The judge denied Jeezy’s request to have Mai cover his legal fees, warning that any future noncompliance with the court’s orders could lead to sanctions, including incarceration.

The divorce between Jeezy and Jeannie Mai was finalized in the summer of 2024 but has been highly contentious, marked by allegations of domestic abuse and disputes over custody and financial responsibilities. Mai accused Jeezy of not adhering to the settlement terms, including failing to pay childcare costs for their daughter, depositing $500,000 into an account for her, transferring the titles of two cars to Mai, and covering four months of rent. Jeezy responded by questioning the legitimacy of the lease agreements Mai provided and accused her of trying to damage his reputation by leaking their private matters to the press. He also claimed delays in the DMV transferring the car titles and said one vehicle was damaged due to an “act of God.” Jeezy sought $20,000 from Mai to cover his legal fees incurred while defending himself against her contempt accusations, but the court denied this request.

The couple’s conflict extended beyond financial and legal issues. In late 2024, Mai attempted to retrieve personal belongings from Jeezy’s home but was denied entry by his house manager on Jeezy’s orders. Jeezy expressed concerns that Mai might install listening devices or cameras in his residence, citing the acrimonious nature of their divorce. Mai’s legal team stated she had no intention of invading privacy and that when she was eventually allowed access to her belongings, many items were found damaged, including wet boxes and broken awards. Police were called to the scene to document the denial of access, which was in violation of a court order.

Additionally, Jeezy is currently involved in a separate legal dispute with a former manager, Solomon Fornie. Fornie claims he played a crucial role in rebuilding Jeezy’s career and finances starting in 2015, including paying off Jeezy’s homes, covering business payroll, and lending $400,000 to keep operations running. Fornie alleges he was never properly compensated and worked without commission for five years, and he has filed a countersuit seeking repayment for his contributions.

In summary, Jeezy faces potential jail time if he continues to breach the divorce agreement with Jeannie Mai, particularly regarding the transfer of vehicle titles and compliance with court orders. Their divorce remains fraught with legal battles over finances, property, and custody, compounded by personal disputes and accusations of misconduct.
