Eminem‘s grandmother Betty died at her home in Missouri on Tuesday, according to TMZ.
The 87-year-old died from complications due to breast cancer.
The Lose Yourself singer’s mom, Debbie, died in 2024 according to BBC.
Her cause of death was revealed as complications caused by advanced stage lung cancer.

Sources close to the family told TMZ that Eminem, 53, was not with his grandmother when she died.
It’s unclear what their relationship was prior to her passing.
Betty publicly blasted Eminem in a 2000 interview with The Mirror.
“Neither his mother Debbie nor I can figure out what happened to this sweet, caring youngster,” she said at the time.
“In just over 12 years he’s gone from telling me ‘Grandma I love you,’ to ‘Go to hell.’ It just breaks my heart.”
Eminem became a grandfather himself in April 2025.
His daughter, Hailie, welcomed her first baby with husband Evan McClintock at that time.
The couple shared the baby’s name shortly after his birth, revealing a sweet tribute to her father.
They named the child Elliot Marshall McClintock.
Marshall Mathers is, as many fans know, Eminem’s given name.
The rap icon is due to be a grandfather for a second time soon.
In October 2025, his rarely seen daughter Alaina Scott revealed that she was also expecting.
Alaina is the biological daughter of Dawn Scott, Eminem’s ex-wife Kim Scott’s twin sister.
Dawn died and Eminem stepped into a parental role.

Alaina revealed her pregnancy in October 2025 in a joint post with her husband Matt Moeller.
She wore a mid-length black dress, posing for cute photos holding a white baby onesie that read: “Baby Moeller coming 2026.”
