Remembering Conservative Influencer Charlie Kirk

On September 10, 2025, conservative commentator and Turning Point USA CEO Charlie Kirk was shot and killed while speaking on a college campus in Orem, Utah.

Charlie co-founded Turning Point USA in 2012, seeking to inspire the younger generation to embrace free speech. According to its website, Turning Point’s mission is to “identify, educate, train, and organize students to promote the principles of freedom, free markets, and limited government.”

Since his death, TPUSA has recieved thousands of requests nationwide from students interested in starting chapters on their college campus. The company is now led by his wife, Erika, as CEO.

TPUSA Hosts The “All-American Halftime Show”

In October 2025, TPUSA announced that it would be hosting an alternative Super Bowl halftime performance, called the “All-American Halftime Show.” The event was promoted as being a show for “celebrating faith, family, and freedom.”

The news came just after the NFL announced that Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny was going to be the Super Bowl halftime show performer.

On February 2, the organization announced that Kid Rock, Lee Brice, Gabby Barrett, and Brantley Gilbert would be performing during the “All-American Halftime Show” on Sunday (February 8).

The event was a massive success, drawing in over 6 million viewers during the night.

Erika Kirk Opens Up About The Big Event

Reflecting on the event, Erika said she believes Charlie would have absolutely loved the idea.

“It’s powerful because what Charlie always loved and knew is that he wanted to be in the forefront of the culture war,” she said. “He would be fist-pumping at this. He would be so stoked. And what better way to honor him than to just get in the middle of this and be able to offer an alternative to families.”

All four performers took the stage to sing several songs each, including a mix of their own hits and well-loved country covers. Erika explained that the show carried forward a mission close to her husband’s heart. She shared that Charlie was passionate about developing content that resonates with entire households, spanning generations.

“That’s the thing that is so beautiful about Turning Point USA and our programs — it’s holistic, it’s for the entire home,” she told Fox News. “It’s of every age, and so for us to be able to provide an alternative that is pro-America, that is just pro-everything.”

Erika, who did not want to “bash” the traditional Super Bowl entertainment, also gave a special shoutout to the artists who agreed to perform during the event.

“Our team has worked so hard,” she said. “The artists that have teamed up with us — I just want to say thank you to them. It’s very brave of them to do this. They partnered with us without hesitation, and it’s actually been a huge blessing. It’s going to be an unbelievable halftime show.”
