But he couldn’t survive a second.
Rap star Tupac Shakur died last night after a brief life in a rough business.
He was only 25.

So you guys are driving around, and then you hear these girls say:
“Tupac… Tupac.”
You get to the light, and he happened to be hanging out the window.
Once you got the region, I got to ducking.
Which of those four is it when you talk to him about Tupac?
It was really about both of them.
Either one of them.
It was Tupac.
Tupac and Suge Knight.
After news broke about Sean “Diddy” Combs’ upcoming sentencing, reports surfaced that he might be involved in another case.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department announced they were reopening the investigation into Tupac’s murder.
Diddy’s alleged connection gained attention because on November 18, 1995, Tupac was photographed with Diddy’s former partner, Sarah Chapman.
A woman Diddy had publicly described as his dream girl.
When she got involved with Tupac, Diddy reportedly didn’t like it
— and allegedly made his first attempt on Tupac’s life.
“I believe so.
I do believe so.
I have proved things that I can say that will back up my claim, but this is not for the world to know.
It’s between me and him, and only he knows.
Every time he says it happened, that’s the only thing that makes this become an issue to everybody.”
After that first attempt failed, Diddy allegedly tried again.
During Diddy’s trial, a former police officer claimed Diddy paid $1 million to have Tupac killed.
In retaliation, Suge Knight allegedly arranged for the death of The Notorious B.I.G..
It’s said that Diddy hired Duane “Keefe D” Davis to carry out the hit on Tupac.
After more than 20 years of remaining free, Keefe D was finally brought in for questioning
— where he reportedly named Diddy as the mastermind behind the crime.
Diddy was questioned multiple times about his alleged role in Tupac’s death.
In fact, his name appeared 77 times in a recent legal filing.
Keefe D even stated that killing Tupac was Diddy’s wish.
Meanwhile, the author of Tupac’s biography made another shocking claim.
Despite his image, Tupac wasn’t as tough as he seemed.
According to the author, Tupac didn’t really know how to defend himself
or even properly use a firearm.
“He couldn’t fight.
He had no athleticism.
He didn’t know how to shoot a gun.
He wasn’t that guy…
But he started to believe it.
He method acted it.”
This story quickly dominated headlines.
A clip resurfaced of 50 Cent openly accusing Diddy of being involved in Tupac’s murder.
Saying he never liked Diddy
because he believed Diddy had Tupac killed.
Even Eminem referenced the situation in his song Fuel.
Rapping:
“I ain’t trying to beef with him
’cause he might put a hit on me
like Keefe D did him.”
A line many fans believe was a direct call-out to Diddy.
Years ago, The Breakfast Club confronted Diddy about these claims during an interview.
Diddy denied the allegations, brushing them off as nonsense.
But the ongoing reinvestigation into Tupac’s murder is bringing up new names
and new evidence.
One of those names is Suge Knight again.
This ties back to another Eminem lyric where he rapped:
“I’m holding Suge responsible
for the passing of the two greatest rappers
to ever grace the face of this planet.”
Even Snoop Dogg was briefly mentioned during the investigation.
Interestingly, Snoop was supposed to be in the BMW with Tupac and Suge that night.
But at the last minute, he didn’t go.
Later, Snoop revealed he had argued with Tupac just days before the shooting.
On September 7, 1996, Tupac was in Las Vegas with Suge Knight to watch a fight featuring Mike Tyson at the MGM Grand Las Vegas.
After the fight, a brawl broke out in the casino lobby.
The target was Orlando “Baby Lane” Anderson.
Hours later, at a red light on the Las Vegas Strip, a white Cadillac pulled up beside Tupac’s black BMW.
Shots were fired.
Tupac was hit four times.
For decades, the case remained a mystery.
Until Keefe D later gave interviews describing the moment the car pulled up beside Tupac.
He claimed Tupac suddenly reached toward the door of the car.
That’s when the shooting began.
In later interviews, Keefe D expressed regret.
“I hate it happened.
I wish it never happened.
That was wrong.
Purely wrong.”
Yet the mystery didn’t end there.
Some theories even claim Tupac might still be alive.
One officer once suggested Tupac could have been an industry plant meant to influence gang culture.
Others claim he was seen years later in Cuba.
Even Suge Knight has repeatedly hinted in interviews that Tupac may have survived.
“When I left the hospital, me and Pac were laughing and joking,” Suge said.
“I don’t see how somebody can turn from doing well to doing bad.”
Police say Tupac was in a deep coma before he died.
But the theories have never stopped.
In 2018, Suge Knight Jr. even claimed Tupac was alive and living in Malaysia.
And that leaves one question still haunting the music world:
If anyone truly knows what happened to Tupac Shakur that night…
It might be Suge Knight.
