Christopher Meloni and Dean Norris, who play two of the Stabler brothers, explain how Organized Crime Season 5 may differ with its venue change.
As Law & Order: Organized Crimeheads to Peacock for Season 5, fans may be wondering how the move may impact the tone of the show.
Thankfully, Christopher Meloni and Dean Norris — who play brothers Elliot Stabler and Randall Stabler on the spin-off — sat down with NBC Insider to share the scoop on that.
The Season 5 trailer promises another risky undercover assignment for Stabler, as well as a reunion with his former Law & Order: Special Victims Unit partner Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) as he lies unconscious in a hospital bed.
Read on to find out if and how Organized Crime Season 5 might be different from earlier ones.

Will Law & Order: Organized Crime change with its Peacock move?
While avid fans of Organized Crime will be happy to learn that the overall tone of Season 5 will follow that of its previous four seasons, there will be some changes. Those include “more curse words” and a “little more edge.”
Meloni told NBC Insider that while the show’s DNA won’t alter, “the environment in which that DNA gets to thrive and live has expanded a little bit.” He added, “I think everyone was trying to figure out… Dick Wolf show on the streaming platform — what’s that vision? How are we going to make that happen? How gritty is the storytelling? So, couple more curse words maybe. Little more edge?”
Norris agreed, saying, “I think a little more edge, yeah.” He elaborated, “I think they’re allowed to do that to kind of make it a streaming-type show, if you will, but essentially the same show.”
The fate of the youngest Stabler brother will be revealed in Season 5
The actors also shared that fans will finally learn the fate of the youngest Stabler brother, Joe Jr., on Season 5. Viewers last saw him in Season 4, handcuffed to a briefcase full of a dangerous Russian nerve agent.
“That was fun and a long arc to get him back in the fold,” Meloni added of what’s going on with Joe Jr., who is played by Michael Trotter.
