The hip-hop world is caught in a storm, and at the center of it are Drake, Jim Jones, and 50 Cent — with old Dipset drama roaring back to life.
It all started when Drake dropped a bombshell lawsuit against Universal Music Group (UMG), accusing them of actively pushing Kendrick Lamar’s brutal diss track Not Like Us and profiting off damage to Drake’s name. Instead of suing Kendrick directly, Drake took aim at the label, calling it a fight for every artist’s rights.
Jim Jones shocked fans by throwing his full support behind Drake, framing it as a battle against corporate exploitation. On The Broken Frontend podcast, Jim defended Drake’s move, comparing it to Tracy Morgan’s huge settlement with Walmart — saying it’s not rap beef, it’s business empowerment. “If I get the chance to sue a giant company for billions, I’m taking it,” Jim declared.
Not everyone was impressed. Joe Budden accused Drake of blurring the line between rap battles and courtroom fights, while social media split — some praising Jim’s loyalty, others calling it clout chasing.
Then 50 Cent stepped in. In classic troll fashion, he jumped on Instagram to roast Jim for “sticking his nose where it doesn’t belong,” reigniting their years-old feud. He dug up 2019 trial documents tied to Tekashi 6ix9ine, hinting that Jim avoided arrest because of ties to law enforcement — nicknaming him “Individual One.”
Jim fired back on Respectfully Justin, telling both 50 and Cam’ron to “get off my d***,” claiming he’d done plenty for them over the years. That only pushed 50 to double down, posting alleged wiretap transcripts linking Jim to gang conversations, while telling him to fix his issues with Cam instead of riding for Drake.
Cam’ron didn’t hold back either. On his show It Is What It Is, he accused Jim of betraying Dipset by siding with 50 back in the mid-2000s G-Unit feud, questioning his Harlem roots and mocking him as a starstruck fan who latched onto the crew. He even recounted a moment where Jim allegedly ran from BMF, painting a humiliating picture.
Dipset tensions exploded. Cam kept poking at Jim’s Harlem credentials while Jim accused Cam’s ego of holding the group back. Juelz Santana tried to stay neutral, calling it a “family feud” he can’t mediate, but the chances of a real reunion now seem slimmer than ever.

Meanwhile, the rumor mill claims 50 Cent is plotting a collaboration with Kendrick Lamar — the same artist whose diss track triggered Drake’s lawsuit — potentially dropping subliminal shots at both Drake and Jim. At the same time, Jim’s been meeting with promoters about a Dipset anniversary tour, possibly without Cam’ron.
As the online jabs continue, fans are bracing for diss tracks, business moves, and even bigger chess plays. What started as Drake versus UMG has spiraled into a full-on war over loyalty, legacy, and control.
The question now: Is Jim’s bold stand with Drake a power move that could change the industry — or the final nail in Dipset’s coffin?
