Messi stays at a budget hotel
His brace against Austria made Lionel Messi the greatest goalscorer in World Cup history. A large number of fans flocked to the Origin hotel on the Berkley Riverfront (Kansas City, Missouri, USA) to get closer to their idol.
At the Argentinian team’s accommodation, two large banners featuring Lionel Messi were also displayed on the south side of the hotel.

Jose Miguel, a resident of Kansas City, returned to the hotel for the second time that day hoping to see or take a photo with Messi.
“I never thought Kansas would be the place they chose to stay. I really like this. Yesterday we also came here just to have a chance to meet him,” Miguel said. According to Axios, many fans even camped outside the hotel hoping to catch a glimpse of the players.
The Origin Hotel is quite affordable, usually ranging from $145-$296 per night for a standard room. Premium rooms or suites can cost from $230-$300 per night and up (approximately 5.9-7.8 million VND per night), depending on the time of year and cancellation policy.
This hotel isn’t an overly luxurious establishment, but it boasts a convenient location and a secure, high-security system.
Opened in 2024, the hotel has 118 rooms ranging from standard to premium suites.
Ronaldo enjoys a luxurious resort stay
Ronaldo – a name often compared to Messi in the football world – also caused a stir when he arrived at Portugal’s headquarters for the 2026 World Cup.
In their quest for the gold trophy, the Portuguese national team chose the 5-star Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach in Florida as their accommodation.
The resort is renowned for its private beach, ocean-facing swimming pools, high-end spa, and luxurious suites for the elite.
